The frequency, in milliseconds, is now configurable in file TunnellerOpts.ini in the Tunneller directory in (new) section TSLicense item SSCLicenseCheckTime. Sections are seen in this file delimited by [ ] and items are seen as item=value, for example:
; How often the CSC checks the SSC license status, in milliseconds.
The default value has been changed from 6000 to 60000.
If the value is set to 0 then the CSC will never check the SSC license status and the associated OPC items will stay at Q_BAD.

  • 0020365: ODM points die if AddItems call fails when re-creating connections after connection failure (dead server).
OPC Server for PROVOX Direct Oct 16, 2015
  • 0019426: The OPC server now obtains DDP page numbers for all DDPs that are requested and only polls and DDP pages for items that are requested, instead of polling all possible DDP pages for each point for which DDPs are requested.
  • 0020190: The OPC server no longer requires specifying the controller name in the tag ID. The HDL name may also be omitted if it is the only HDL in the configuration. The permissible syntaxes are now HDL.Controller.Point.Tag, Controller.Point.Tag, and Point.Tag.
Caution: This syntax should only be used when using only one PROVOX database and no redundant controllers or HDLs so that PROVOX point names are unique. To our knowledge, one plant commonly uses one database for all of its controllers.
  • 0020193: LCP OPP Status Mask Word and Status Word (SMSK and SWRD) can now be accessed bitwise by items MVPSTMSKx and MVPSTx where x is the bit number (1..16).
  • 0020194: Statistical (read-only) items NumberOfDDPsToPoll, NumberOfDDPsToValidate, NumberOfDDPsValid, NumberOfDDPsInvalid, NumberOfDDPsValidationFailed at Controller and Interface levels (Interface being an aggregate of all of its controllers) indicate how many DDP tags are being polled and how many need to be validated. DDP tags that are being polled will likely not obtain values until they are validated. This item can be used to estimate when DDP validation is finished and when reading of DDPs will commence (All requested DDPs must be validated before any are read).
  • 0020199: Statistical (read-only) item DDPsPollingAt at Point level is set to the time between receiving DDP messages for the last DDP page received (that is, the present time minus the last time at which that particular DDP page for that point was received). Values are given in milliseconds. This item can be used to estimate the responsiveness of DDP polls for that point.
  • 0020200: Provox Application Server syntax Tag.Bit is now supported for tags that already support bit fields by appending the bit number (for example, ALM.4 for ALM4).
  • 0020211: The OPC server allows for an adjustable delimiter as specified in registry parameter TagDelimiter. The value must be set to the DWORD number that is the ASCII value of the character you wish. For example, to set the delimiter to ‘/’, you would create a DWORD registry entry named TagDelimiter with the value 47. Default: ‘.’
  • 0020212: The OPC server now has an item at the HDL level called “DumpMessages60s” which, when it is written to, causes a brief description of each message sent by the OPC server to that HDL for the next 60 seconds to be logged to the log file. If the user wishes to log these messages for additional time, the item may be written to repeatedly, for example, once every 30 seconds, until the user does not wish these messages to keep being logged.
  • 0020213: The OPC server now has a feature which allows the OPC server to ignore demand OPP reads from clients if the point has been updated recently. Set the registry item “IgnoreOPPDemandReads” to the number of seconds of “staleness” required for the OPC server to permit demand reads on points. Default:0.
  • 0020214: FIRSTFAIL should support a larger value range. It is now a VT_UI2.
  • 0020231: Demand DDP reads should be higher priority than subscribed DDP reads but lower priority than DDP validation.
OPC Redundancy Broker (ORB) Sep 28, 2015 4.2.0
  • 0020339: Memory leak when a client such as ODM reads or writes using incrementing request IDs.
OPC Data Manager (ODM) Sep 28, 2015
  • 0020302: ODM compatability issue with ORB – OPC return calls.
  • 0020341: ODM does not clean up COM connection to OPC server due to outstanding OnShutdown callback.
OPC Redundancy Broker Sep 21, 2015 4.1.3
  • 0012680: An OPC client may hang on refresh2/demand read/lifetime if both OPC servers are waiting on watchdog tags.
  • 0015039: If ORB is disconnected from one of its servers at least 15 times in rapid succession while ODM is connected, ODM may terminate.
  • 0017211: On certain operating systems (e.g., Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows XP SP3 – Chinese Version), ORB cannot browse the network when configuring a redundant pair. Server ProgIDs can be manually entered.
  • 0017329: When you configure a redundant pair to be HDA or AE exclusively, you will still be able to do DA calls.
  • 0017380: COM issues in ORB installation.
  • 0017379: A memory leak was observed when MatrikonOPC Data Manager is configured to perform DA writes to tags in an ORB redundant pair. A very small leak was also observed when Data Manager is configured to perform DA reads from an ORB redundant pair.

OPC Server for APACS Direct Jul 14, 2015 1.8.3
  • 0019501: An option is added to the server to suppress bad qualities from being reported when the program is updated on an APACS controller. Updates for these items are not sent to the OPC client.
  • 0019502: Revalidation procedure time is improved by reducing the time that APACS Direct server takes to bring back controllers on line, following changes to the controller program.
  • 0019900: Read error during re-optimize leads to some items never having valid data until a new re-optimize occurs.
  • 0020132: OPC items qualities stay as bad after engineering changes are made to APACS controllers through 4-mation.
  • 0020273: Revalidation causes items to go to Q_GOOD even if they are turned off.
